September Smiles and New Beginnings
It’s been a busy and exciting September here at school! We were delighted to welcome back all our pupils after the summer holidays, along with the new faces in Junior Infants who have joined our school community. Already, classrooms are buzzing with learning, friendships are growing, and everyone is settling into new routines.
This month, we’ve enjoyed lots of time outdoors and a visit to the community garden, where the children got to explore, learn, and see nature in action and we're loving the new playground additions. A big thank you to our Parents’ Association for their support and fundraising efforts, which played a key role in helping us to get our fantastic new playground equipment.
On the sports front, the boys and girls have been giving their all in Mini 7s football and hurling, showing great teamwork and school spirit. We would like to congratulate the boys from our school who won their Mullinahone hurling tournament in August with Cappataggle hurling club and our girls who were winners of the Moyne Villa Summer soccer tournament 2025 with Ballinasloe F.C. A great sign of things to come.
From fresh copies and sharpened pencils to new topics, projects and activities, there’s a great sense of energy and enthusiasm for the year ahead.
We’re looking forward to all the adventures this school year will bring!
