We couldn’t let a school year go by without a classic coca cola and mentos explosion. The students practiced their predicting, estimating and measuring skills all in the name of fun. The rough surface of the mentos allow the bonds between the carbon dioxide gas and the water to easily break, helping to create carbon dioxide bubbles and cause the classic eruption / physical reaction…very cool!
